Tango teaches you to lead, to follow, to communicate your intention with your partner by inviting him or her to respond to the movements of your body.

The leader learns to do more things at a time: he performs his own steps and invites his partner in a subtle way to make his or her steps. The leader has to be aware of how his partner follows this intention. This is all performed while navigating on the floor with the other dancers. This partnership is unique. Each dancer interprets the music, responds to his partner and adapts to the environment in his own way - no two dancers are ever the same.
